My camera fell out 
When I put the case on my belt, my Stylus 400 camera kept falling out. In the end I lost the camera that way. Too bad I didn't think of getting a different case.
Protects My Camera.... 
I bought this kit mainly for the extra battery. The case does protect my camera although I was expecting it to have enough room to store the backup battery. You can squeeze it in the bottom of the case, but there is no designated space for it. It also comes with a long metal neck strap so you can have your camera with you without holding on to it. The case has a slot cut out for the chain.
