Great camera!
I love this camera! My husband got it for me as a gift. It is really great for the cost. There are many functions on the dial, which is a little confusing, but if you take your pictures on the AUTO function, they all come out very clear. I love the video camera feature too. I had a SONY Cybershot before this, and the Samsung is 100% better! We are completely satisfied!!

Big Surprise!
I used digimax 430 before I get V800.
Images- V800 has more clear images than digimax 430 at normal day & night shot.
Movie Files- V800 MPEG4 at 30fps is also much clearer than digimax 430 MPEG 30 fps.
Shutter Speed - V800 is faster than digimax 430.
Connectivity with PC - download speed of V800 is faster than digimax 430.
Connectivity with TV - New option for V800 - Fair image
Size - Slimmer than digimax 430.
Manual Mode Option - I am still studying it. But I like auto mode.
Battery - Charging time is 1 1/2 ~ 2 hour. Enough for 200 images. Better than digimax 430 duracell ultra AA battries.

I am totally satisfied with SAMSUNG digimax V800.

Digital Camera
Not as user friendly as the V70, but the quality is just as good. Auto focus does not work well in low light. Great features and has a large LCD screen.

A Disappointment
I ordered this camera for my husband for Christmas. The features sounded amazing and I couldn't pass up an 8 megapixel camera that could fit in my pocket. While the camera had a lot of wonderful features, it sounded too good to be true and it was. The autofocus had a lot of trouble locking on a target. The result was over half the photos we took coming out fuzzy or blurry. It was simply too unreliable. We would never be able to go on vacation and hand the camera to a stranger to take our photo. It was a real shame the focus was so far off, because the camera had a lot of potential.
