This piece of camera equipment works flawlessly. Half the price of the manufacturers release. I used this for wildlife that was close and needed to keep movement to a minimum. The arrow on the side of the plug helps to avoid fumbling to plug it in. I highly recommend it.

When capturing images at slow shutter speeds (using a tripod)this tool has proven to be a Godsend. ...well worth its modest cost.
Perfect economical alternative to Olympus version
Bought this item after finding it at a cost of about 40% less than the Olympus version. It's exactly what I wanted and does everything the camera shutter button does. It has the half-way function as well as the continuous release for a burst of exposures and for the bracketing functions. Highly recommended.
Works like a champ
I took a gamble and bought this unit for my SP-560 UZ even though it wasn't listed in the product description as being compatible at the time of purchase; however, I just received the unit the other day and it works just fine. I think it may work with the 570 as well since both models are refined versions of the 550. Being about half the price as the name brand Olympus remote switch, it's a good bargain.

I was thrilled to find this remote switch for my Olympus SP-560 at about half the cost that Olympus is charging. It works great...push half-way to focus, and push fully to take the picture. Also has a lock on feature for doing things like taking movies.
