Terrible Experience... 1
I purchased this flash and used it ONCE before it stopped firing completely. I contacted the seller and they exchanged it for a brand new one. After using the new flash TWICE, it did the exact same thing - except this time it stopped firing right in the middle of a friend's wedding I was shooting. Seems to me this thing is a P.O.S. ... I have contacted Sakar and hope they'll remedy the situation, but I won't trust this as anything but a back up flash in the future ... maybe not even that!

Great ETTL flash 5
this is an outstanding flash!!! ETTL/E-TTL-2 compatible, GN 42m at 85mm zoom, very efficient focus assistant beam, automatically detect camera settings (ISO, aperture and focal length), flash ready indicator in view finder, etc..
the only downside is in the slave function: it's not TTL compatible, and it's triggered by the first detected burst of light, which makes it unsuitable for most digital cameras (if not all). digital cameras release 2 consecutive lights: the first one for metering while the second one is the real flash.
Even though the slave function is useless, i still rate this flash as 5 stars, because the canon 430EX doesn't have a slave option as well but has the same other functions for a price that is 2 to 3 times more expensive than this flash.
