lower cost than other laptop + camera bags
seems to have a lot of room, top compartment is large for extras, easily fits macbook pro, canon 40d, 300mm usM canon lens, 28-135mm zoom, 100mm macro - and it is less expensive than all the lowepro and such
Great Deal
The backpack was heavier than expected due to the quality. The computer will be well protected as the cushion is firm. I love the camera compartment flexibility with the velcro bits that you can rearrange. The size of each compartment is generous for the size of the pack. I wish it had a waist/chest strap, but so far that is the only drawback I have found.
First impressions...
I just opened the box and haven't had a chance to use the bag yet. First impressions are that it seems sturdy, the front-opening section for the camera is easy to access. Top compartment is a bit on the small side. I'd be happy trading the space the laptop compartment takes since I'm not sure how often I need to carry around a laptop and my SLR. My goal for this pack was to use it for trips and hiking (how come no one makes a camelbak camera bag yet? come on guys!). The top loading for the adventure series seemed awkward for quick access.
My major gripe is that there are no waist or chest straps which might make this uncomfortable when fully loaded. Unfortunately there were no photos of the straps on either Amazon or Tamrac's website before I made the purchase.
