Summary: sorcery, magic, gore and revelations
Comment: After the dragon under the city had been relieved so to speak Kato found another tool for his destruction. Failing in his plan to control the dragon of the earth Kato moves to control the dragon of the moon instead.

With his plan in motion Kato plans to bring the moon really close to the planet and then slingshot it out of the planet's graviational field. While many would think this pointless the fact is that this would cause major change to climate of the planet.

With a race against time in Motion it is up to Keiko to resolve this once and for all and her quest begins. During her attack on Kato a majo revelation occurs about the young girl and her mother who Kato has sought to control from the beginning, with revelations in people's minds and the moon about to cause chaos on the planet the end seems welcome to all...

While the revaltions and the action really add atmosphere to this final part I thought this episode was a bit of an anti-climax and has a disappointing finale. However it is still worth watching and the five star rating is for the whole series not just this part, overall sit back and enjoy the sorcery on screen.

Summary: Sorcery, action and all our agression!
Comment: After episode two in which Tokyo centre was destroyed by an earthquake efforts to rebuild it provoke some ambitious ideas. One such idea was the creation of an undergound rail link system. However attempts to Construct the railway have resulted in cave ins and other disasters that halt procedings. However when one cave in results in a sighting of supernatural entities and bizarre enscriptions on the walls people began to wonder if something evil lurked under there...

A strange doctor from out of Japan who had been studying the culture and myth of Japan discovered that it was in fact a dragon that resided under the earth and caused cave ins due to the fact it had been disturbed and wanted room, however when it found none the aura caused it to collapse and a battle to free the dragon ensues...

Not to miss a chance the evil sorcerer Kato attempts to steal the soul of a young girl who would be instrumental in causing chaos in Tokyo. However the arrival of a warrior priestess named Keiko causes a war of magic on the surface of Tokyo, while a dragon must be tamed underneath...

The animation of this episode is very accurate and the story evolves at a quick pace. The overall action is very hard hitting with lots of magical chanting and superstition. If you enjoyed either of the first two episodes then this third one shall not disappoint you. This series however is definitely only for people into fantasy as besides some quotes of physics little else is explored.

Summary: must have
Comment: i watched the doomed megalopis a couple of years ago on terrestial TV and i was blown away.It is an intriging tale of japanese myth and legend. the second chapter carries on beautifully from the first.the evil demon Kato plans to destroy tokyo by impregnating yukari with "his seed of hatred" in the first chapter, could his prodigy suceed in the destruction... yukaris daughter,Yukiko, starts to suffer from the same horrifying hallucination as her mother did.these hallucinations are nightmarishly brilliant. as the story progresses we learn more about Yukikos role in the doomed megalopolis, the end scene we see the total destruction of tokyo through a devastating earthquake..did kato suceed? the animation is amazing and the story line progresses beautifully to the climax of this chapter. the doomed megalopolis is a must have set, and is truly a manga masterpiece.
