Comment: Bought this remington razor which has proved to be very uncomfortable to hold...What do car designers know about hand held electric razors??
It shaved okay but after a few months use it seized up and now is destined for the bin.
I would not buy this again.

Summary: Great Item at a Good Price!
Comment: I was disappointed with my (similarly priced) Philips from the very beginning, but put up with it for a couple of years. I treated myself to this reasonably priced Remington hoping for better shaving and I was not let down. It's quiet and very efficient - I can shave in half the time of the old Philips.
Yes, it may have a fairly long charging time, but it runs for an extremely long time between charges. Don't be put off by the odd negative review here. It is NOT flimsy or weak. I've owned it a long time now and not had the slightest problem with it.
I'm a mechanical engineer with a background in quality control, AND I'm a nitpicker, and I like it. It's easily the best electric shaver I've ever owned.

Summary: Buy next model up
Comment: I was drawn to this item by the price and then noticed that the R330 model is only a few pence more. That is exactly the same but charges in under an hour rather than overnight. Very useful.
I disagree with the review that says the build quality is not good. It is certainly up to the task and worth the money being asked.
My concern is that it doesn't shave close enough. Anyone who has a strong growing beard will know that a rotary shaver (read Philishave) does the job much better than a foil type and I have always used the Philishave. My reason for getting this new Remington was that my Philishave is getting old now and I presumed the Remington would cut as close. However, it does not seem to, which is a bit worrying.
It could be that the blades need to bed in, so I have my fingers crossed.
In every other respect, it is a good value buy.

Summary: Excellent Cheap Shaver
Comment: I brought this to replace a failed Philishave shaver as the price was cheaper than a repair. I must say I wasn't disappointed! I have been wet shaving for a few weeks and on my first use it was so much better than my old one! After preparing my skin using a pre shave powder stick from another e-tailer I had a close shave with absolutely no irritation including around the neck which always used to be an issue. A top buy highly recommended!!

Comment: Got this for Christmas. It's comfortable in the hand, quiet in operation and the charge lasts well ( but then I only shave once a week! ). There's also a hair trimmer which is good for nasal hair trimming. Good value.
