Shaped like a TV remote, the Nintendo Wii controller has been designed to be easily used by beginners and pros alike. Sensors determine the Wii Remote's position is in 3-D space, which means that racing-game steering and a tennis swing, for example, are done through movements of your hand rather than by just your thumbs. What's more, a tiny speaker built into the Wii Remote promises some interactive surround sound experiences. The controller also has a force feedback "Rumble" feature and an expansion port for use with accessories, such as the Nunchuck, which adds an analogue thumbstick and trigger buttons.

Summary: Essential to get the most out of your wii but far too expensive
Comment: You only get one wiimote in the standard kit wii console and while this is a fantastic controller hence why I have given it 5 stars for fun I think it is over priced as unlike other consoles there is no 'after market' 3rd part alternatives that are cheaper.
I would welcome a reduction in the price by nintendo to make the additional wiimotes more accessible for more people. Your looking at the best part of £150 to get 3 more wiimotes and nunchucks required for 4 player mode. I have got 4 and it really does make play more fun and allow more people to join in.

Comment: I think this is a fantastic controller very easy to use and not to light but not to heavy either. The control is very fun to use, its not uncomfortable and it fits perfectly in your hand.
There is not much to say about a controller but this is fantasticly designed and great fun to use!

Summary: Wii remote
Comment: I purchased a wiimote last week, arrived next day and paid less than current shop prices. The wiimote is the Japanese version but as stated in the covering letter from seller it works in the same way as the UK version - you just need to check your original English instructions and press the red sync button on the back of the wiimote and the red sync button inside the front casing on the wii console at the same time and away you go. Don't be put off by some of the other reviews I was very pleased with my purchase.

You Point it at the screen and the cursor comes up, it has shake control, tilt control, it's got everything!

Summary: Wii hand controller
Comment: I bought what I thought was a second WII controller as a Christmas present. However The controller would not power on. Four blue lights come on when the inside red light is pressed but we cannot sinc it to the console. Also the instructions were in Japanese and the box stated for use in Japan only. I cannot understand why Amazon advertise these on there site. It appears that this is through an Amazon subsidiary and there is no returns policy online. There is a claims procedure for refunds but the Amazon website does not have enough information or tell you what to do with the WII controller. I would recommend strongly NOT to purchase a second controller through Amazon.
