Wouldn't it be great to have the intimate atmosphere of candlelight without the hassle of candles? That's exactly what you get with the Imageo Candle Lights from Philips. Ideal for restaurants, hotels and cafes (both indoors and outside) or anywhere else where ambience is vitally important for business.
With Imageo Candle Light, you have the glow and gentle flicker associated with candles, but none of the drawbacks of an open flame. Candle Light is an LED light source designed so that its appearance, right down to its flickering, dancing yellow light, is just like the real thing.

Summary: I'll admit they are pretty good
Comment: They do flicker just a little bit too much and too fast for my liking, which I found a little annoying to start with. A real flame is steadier (especially if sheltered within a glass surround). However, having had them a week or so, I seem to have got used to that and like the cosy atmosphere created by having a couple on the mantelpiece and one on the coffee table. I don't regret buying them and may even get some as gifts.

This product says "sold and dispatched by Amazon.co.uk" so I was rather suprised that these were sent from another company in Bremen, Germany. As such they took a week to be delivered, and this has cost it one star. It doesn't matter that it came from abroad, just don't suggest that it's coming from an Amazon warehouse in the UK.
Anyway, these are great little lights, they merrily flicker like real candles and the frosted glass the lights are housed in, are robust and attractive. The intensity of the light is not sufficient for you to do away with your room lights but if you want mood lighting or just to brighten a darkened corner, they won't disappoint. The light itself is more of an orange than the delicate yellow in the Amazon photo but this doesn't detract from their visual appeal and visitors still ask me if they're real, which speaks volumes for their realism.
The advert suggests a simple tilt of the glass & the light will come on. In my experience it's more of a vigourous shake. This seems like a bit of a design flaw, surely an on/off switch on the underside would be preferable?
However, once they're on they look great and will certainly make you smile.

Comment: I like to use candles in the house to create some ambience, especially at the dinner table or in the living room when we have guests.
However traditional candles can be a pain having to light them, they can also be messy and look a bit unsightly.
So I thought for the cost I will give these a look, well certainly not disappointed, like all the best products they are simple.
Give just the right amount of light off, long life after a charge and terrific value for money for three of these!

Summary: Better than candles
Comment: If you are fed up of buying tea-lights then these are definitely for you!
Admittedly, they are not quite as bright as tea-lights, but that only means that you need more of them which actually makes them even more romantic!
I am frankly stunned by just how realistic these "candles" are, they are just so realistic it is uncanny.
Is it possible that Philips have improved upon the candles that have lasted for thousands of years? Judge for yourself! You won't regret it!

Summary: I hold a candle for these little lights.
Comment: I adore candles but having moved into a new, smaller room than before, I daren't risk them. So I was thrilled to come across these, and having read Amazon reviews for them, decided to give them a go. They are easy to use, and they're safe, long lasting and effective, as well as them not getting hot so you can handle them and move them around while they're on.
My slight bugbears are that the glass scratches easily; I have had them less than a day and there is already a scratch on one of them. I also find the shade of orange they flicker, slightly unrealistic. But not enough not to recommend them to others. I plan to buy more.
