Customer Rating: Summary: I've had a few replacement units Comment: I originally bought this from B&Q and loaded it with batteries. It was great for a week but then started squarking. I got a replacment from B&Q but this was no better. I spoke directly to the company (STV) and they were very good, they exchanged and sent me a replacement, this was OK but I could hear it - they told me that I should definitely not be able to and have sent me yet another replacment. This time it appears to be OK but it has only been on for an hour, we'll see how it goes.
I have a feeling that it becomes audible when the batteries get low - anyone having problems should try loading new batteries.
Even though I could hear them they did appear to be effective.
Customer Rating: Summary: This product is brilliant !! Comment: This product does exactly what it says on the box !!
My decking area has lots and lots of large tubs that were used by several local cats as their own personal toilet area - disgusting!!
The day I installed this product is the day the cats gave up on my decking - brilliant.
Whatever the high pitched sound is that comes from this product, the cats DO NOT like it.
The product can be heavy on batteries if you forget to turn it off when you are in the garden - as it detects any movement.
However, I found that after several weeks, I could switch it off and the cats still don't come round - they've learnt where not to go !!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Mega-Sonic Cat, Dog & Fox Repeller Comment: Mega-Sonic Cat, Dog & Fox Repeller [Latest Model]- Motion activated sensorThe signal is clearly audible and antagonised the neighbours but not the local cats. Requests to the company to return product have been ignored - I assume this is because it is outside their seven day returns window so apparantly there is no guarantee with the product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fails Comment: It seemed to work for the first 5 days, but then the cat(s) must of gotten used to it - They left a couple of messages 2m & 3m in front of the repeller. Also it is oversensitive and scares away birds as small as starling. It is not in-audible to humans either.
Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointing fox repellent Comment: I've had this for a couple of months now. For the first two weeks or so this was effective but then I saw the usual neighbourhood cats sauntering up and down the garden path well within range apparently without a care in the world. The discovery of fox scats right by the "repeller" showed that either they are totally deaf or this repeller isn't so great as I had expected. However I haven't noticed cats using my vegetable patch as a lavatory so I am hoping that they at least have got the message.
