Summary: Go anywhere shave anywhere
Comment: I got this for my husband for a Christmas gift. What a wonderful success. He works out of the office at home so he will take it there to work and shave in the morning. When traveling he just packs the charged razor. He comments that it is so much easier and closer. There is a slight time to get use to shaving with electric verse a regular razor but so well worth it. I also got one for my son who is in the army stationed in Afghanistan where they have limited water, he is thrilled with it. Says he isn't shaving with cold water and no mirror.

Comment: I've allways used Panasonic shaving systems, but the ES81685 it's the greatest, smooth, very fast and it's ergonomic shape makes, every shaving, a fantastic experience. I recomended.

Comment: This would be a very nice shaver, however I returned it, unused, for the simple reason that it does NOT run while plugged in.
I'd tried extensively to determine if it would, on Panasonic's website, where the product was not even listed, prior to ordering: nowhere was I able to determine if one could shave plugged in.
i meant to give it four stars though mis-clicked, and it isn't editable.

Summary: Sharp enough to cut you like a blade
Comment: This is a good product, quiet, close and very smooth. The only thing that I don't like is that the display flashes when charging. If left on the counter in the bathroom at night the flash will light up the hall. Buy the same unit without the fancy display, save some money and you don't have to deal with the display!!!

Summary: Best I've ever used
Comment: I have used many electric shavers over the past 35 years, including models from Braun, Norelco and Remington. None of these has ever worked as well as this shaver. In the past, when I have let my beard grow for 2-3 days, I could never get my electric shaver to work well. This shaver cuts right through, as if I had just shaved the day before. The closest shave I have ever had with no skin irritation at all. Do yourself a favor and order this shaver.
