Editorial Reviews:

The iBert safe-T-seat was designed with quality and safety first. The safe-T-seat places the child up front, safely between the parent's protective arms. This evenly distributes weight over the bike giving a stable, safe ride. Kids enjoy the close interaction and the unobstructed view of the fun ahead. Mounted conveniently on the handlebar stem; the high, forward position allows you to pedal in comfort without banging your knees on the seat.

Customer Rating: Summary: Really good seat - but one fairly big flaw for me Comment: I have two toddlers, and I got this seat because I wanted to have both kids on my bike with me, but I didn't want to use a trailer. That meant having one kid ride behind my seat (I got the CoPilot Limo Bicycle Child Seat for that) and one in front, which I bought this iBert seat for. First of all, the pros of the seat.
1) Super easy to install (on my bike at least). The Co-Pilot literally took me hours to install (although I suppose one could say that was an issue of the Blackburn CSR-1 bike rack that the seat snaps into and not the seat itself, but the fact is that rack was a huge pain to install, on both of our bikes, as well as on my neighbor's two bikes). The iBert installed in about 15-20 minutes. That being said, although the iBert hardware was easy to install, the benefit of the Co-Pilot install means that you can pop that seat onto different bikes at your whim (if they have the rack installed), whereas the iBert will only go on the one bike you have with the iBert hardware. Nonetheless, the easy install was VERY much appreciated!
2) Both of my girls love riding up front. It really gives them a feeling that they are "riding" the bike. They can put their hands on the handle bars and they are seeing what you are seeing.
3) It's easy to talk to the kid in the seat. Also, since you are seeing the same things, you can talk about the features of the landscape/cityscape as they occur. It is much more difficult to hear a child that is behind you because the wind whips the sound away from you. With the child in front, a) your head is within a foot of their head [as opposed to 3 feet away] and b) the wind is whipping their words right at you.
Now for the big con of the seat, for me anyway. There is not enough room between the back of the iBert and the front of my seat for me to stand. Unfortunately, while my bike fits me, the seat doesn't go low enough for me to be able to put my feet comfortably on the ground while sitting on the seat. Under normal circumstances, I simply stand over the bar of the frame, but with iBert on, there's not enough room. This means that going up and down curbs, or waiting for traffic or pedestrians is pretty uncomfortable and I have to dismount the bike completely to go up or down a curb. If your bike seat can be lowered so that you can get your feet on the ground, this won't be as much of an issue (although you will no longer be in the ideal position for pedaling...)
I do like the seat a lot. As I said, the riding part and getting to have conversations with my daughter while riding is particularly delightful. When she's riding behind me, it's hard to hear her or to know what she's talking about because I can't see what she's looking at.
Customer Rating: Summary: front bike sit Comment: I have been tried several bike sits for my son. This particular sit seem to the best fit.
Compare to other sit I feel the safest with the sit. My son is sting between my arms makes it a very safe enjoyable ride for him and me. In addition, the sit is very easy to attach and detach form the bike and I was looking for some thing like that. I would defiantly recommend this sit to any one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love this seat! Comment: I order this to use with my adult trike and I cannot say enough about it! My 20 month old daughter loves it and cries when the bike ride is over. We have tried a rear mounted seat, as well as a trailer, and I rate this above both of those. I am able to talk to my daughter, point things out to her and just truly enjoy the experience together. I installed it myself in five minutes. I have no complaints, it is a great product and worth ever penny.
Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT! Comment: This seat has proven exactly as good as the reviews suggest. I am an experienced bike rider and wasn't sure how well it would work. But it's absolutely great. My daughter, who is 2 3/4, loves it. She is part of the action and rider and passenger are able to talk about what we see. I feel completely safe riding with her (she's just over 30lbs). Easy to control the bike. Installation took just minutes with some post-adjustment to ensure unhindered pedalling.
Customer Rating: Summary: FRONT RIDING BIKE SEAT Comment: HAVEN'T USED THIS YET, BUT IT WAS REALLY EASY TO INSTALL AND OUR SON SEEMS TO LIKE IT AS WE HAVE PUT HIM IN IT TO SEE HOW IT FITS, ETC.
